Episode at a Glance

My guest today is Michelle Pollack, who might be familiar to you because this is her third time on the show. Not long ago, she joined Brian Patacca to take over the show and share their experience inside The Hive.

Back in episode 32, Michelle came on the show to tackle some obstacles blocking her from putting out consistent content.

A lot has changed since then. But, as it goes… whenever we reach new levels, we face new opportunities and likely face new problems to solve.

So, Michelle and I worked on designing a formula to help her leverage her strengths to bring fresh energy into her marketing.

Here’s the plan we cooked up:

  1. Clarify how you want to feel every day in your business.
  2. Tap into the WHY behind why you started your business.
  3. Define how your WHY shows up in all aspects of your life outside of your business.
  4. Apply the elements you defined in step three back to your business. This requires throwing out any rules you think you should follow.
  5. Put your WHY into action to bring energy and intention to your sales and marketing.

Michelle helps ambitious women own what they bring to the table and live & lead on their terms. I just want to say, Michelle is easily one of the most coachable guests we’ve ever had on this show.

If you love coaching, you’ll appreciate hearing her tackle personal obstacles while I engage with empowering questions.

If you’re feeling frustrated and exhausted because your marketing efforts are falling flat, despite your efforts to infuse authenticity, then this episode is for you!
In this episode, you’ll learn to:

  • Show up as the truest version of yourself in your business and personal life.
  • Leverage your natural influence on family, friends, and clients as a blueprint for your business presence.
  • Embrace the idea of allowing your business to be the truest version of itself. And consider how this mindset shift can transform your approach to marketing and sales.

Episode Highlights

Break Through Business Growth Blocks

Michelle Pollack opens up about feeling stuck after hitting an impressive financial milestone in her coaching business. She shares how shifting from a frantic hustle to a more grounded and intentional approach has changed the game for her.

We explore the common traps coaches fall into when trying to grow past six figures, like overworking or throwing money at the problem without seeing results.

If you’re spinning your wheels, this conversation will inspire you to re-energize your marketing and focus on meaningful steps to move the needle in your business.

Break Old Habits To Re-Energize Your Marketing

We dive into how the strategies that got you to one revenue milestone often hold you back from reaching the next. I share my journey of hitting plateaus, like staying stuck at $750K for years, and the key lesson of needing to clean out the closet or rethink your approach to grow.

It’s about breaking the cycle of overinvesting in outsourcing or quick fixes and getting intentional with your energy. We also explore how pushing without a clear purpose leads to burnout and why it’s so important to rediscover your “why.”

For Michelle, that purpose isn’t just about business; it’s about creating an impact for women stepping into leadership and for her kids learning to be fully themselves. It’s time we shift gears and focus on meaningful progress.

Changing Your Perspective

Shifting your perspective can transform the way you approach your business and relationships. It starts with connection – whether it’s your friends, clients, or even your kids, showing up authentically fosters trust and empowerment. But what if you applied that same mindset to your marketing?

When marketing feels like a drag, it’s easy to resent it. Instead, try treating it like the moments you cherish with loved ones. Hold space for it, nurture it, and honour its role in your business.

It can re-energize your marketing and create deeper alignment with your purpose. Choosing to see the tedious tasks as opportunities for growth not only transforms your experience but also helps your audience feel seen.

How To Re-Energize Your Marketing Without Overcomplicating It

Simplify your marketing while staying true to yourself. Stop over-focusing on giving value all the time or mastering every tactic out there. Instead, approach marketing like a discovery call: it’s not about selling, it’s about connecting with the right people.

Give yourself permission to experiment and mess up – marketing isn’t about getting it perfect. Shift from relying on quick-fix tactics to using thoughtful strategies rooted in authenticity.

The mindset you bring to your sales calls, where you serve and focus on the other person’s needs, can be the perfect guide for your social media and content. Be less precious about “value” and more proactive in trying things, because the worst thing that happens is… nothing.

Connection And Strengths

Stop spinning your wheels in marketing and work smarter by focusing on what really matters – your strengths and connections.

We talk about ditching outdated strategies and leaning into what feels right, even if it’s the stuff you’ve been told not to do. If you’re feeling that your content always has to deliver value, that pressure will zap the fun and creativity from your work.

We also explore how collaboration and connection can re-energize your marketing. Conversations, brainstorming with others, and connecting with your audience make things flow. Plus, we tackled the importance of tapping into underutilized strengths, like intuition, honesty, and fun.

The big takeaway? Your unique gifts are your secret weapon, and when you leverage them with intentionality, the right strategy reveals itself.

Discover How To Re-Energize Your Marketing

Michelle’s great with clients because she shows up genuinely and throws amazing parties filled with love – not because they’re fancy, but because they’re heartfelt. Yet, she feels her marketing is a bit dull and tiring.

We talk about how moments of inspiration, like her playful Instagram Reels with her kids, don’t focus on metrics but feel effortless and fun. That’s the vibe we’re aiming for.

The goal isn’t to stick to rigid schedules, but to post when your heart’s truly in it. It’s not about having a strategy nailed down to every detail. Instead, it’s about leaning into your intuition, having fun, connecting with love, and making it simpler.

Remember, true connection doesn’t come from a checklist – it comes from authenticity and joy. Let’s shift from ‘I have to post’ to ‘I get to share.’

Ways To Build Connection

Forget about rigid tactics that don’t feel authentic – they don’t move the needle anyway. Start by building a connection, whether through collaborating with other entrepreneurs or engaging directly with your audience.

Things like live Q&A sessions or coaching former clients on IG can turn into content gold. Take those moments, break them down, repurpose them, and make them work for you.

The goal? Enjoy your marketing process while strengthening your relationships and selling coaching authentically.

Video Ask is a star tool for creating personalized asynchronous coaching content, which can easily transform into social media posts or sales funnel assets. We mapped out a strategy to shift marketing from a tiresome chore to an effortless, heartfelt practice.

The process starts with identifying strengths, leaning into connection, and integrating fun collaboration with your audience. By reframing marketing as a form of meaningful connection, not just providing value, you can feel more like yourself while engaging your audience. Plus, visual reminders like post-its can keep this mindset front and center as you re-energize your marketing efforts.

Make Marketing Feel Like A Party

This episode was all about infusing fun and connection into your marketing strategy. We talked about ditching pointless tactics and focusing on what genuinely works for you.

To re-energize your marketing, make social media feel like the best party, centered around connection and fun. When stress hits, take a break – it’s your cue to step back and refocus. Remember, it’s all about getting back to the basics of connection, just like throwing a great party. Marketing should feel as enjoyable and light as hosting your closest friends, so let’s keep it genuine and simple.

If you’re ready to re-energize your marketing and turn it into a fun, authentic way to connect with your audience, this episode has all the tools and inspiration you need. Tune in to the full podcast to dive deeper into these ideas and start building a strategy that finally feels like you.
