From Steps To Vision: Unblocking Darcie’s Bigger Picture
Darcie Warden teaches people in midlife the Rising Phoenix Method to gain clarity about what’s next so that they can enthusiastically step into new possibilities to create the next chapter of their lives.
Her journey in The Hive has been quite the ride. Getting grounded in her dream client power statement was a game-changer. Discovering her signature system felt like uncovering hidden treasure. She’s now in client surge and excited about landing a new client. It’s a roller coaster of personal growth, and she’s loving the accountability and community support.
In our chat, we dove into how being the face of a service-based business is both empowering and vulnerable. It’s one thing to look inward for personal growth, but building a business means growing in front of others. That can feel uncomfortable, for sure.
Darcie’s big goal is nailing down a vision for her successful business. She’s amazing at following the steps, like a fantastic student, but the bigger picture feels foggy. We realized that focusing too tightly on the process might be blocking her from seeing that vision.
We explored the deep impact of connection and holding space for transformation. Darcie envisions her business evolving naturally, in a way that embraces community and empowerment. She’s all about balancing ambition and alignment to create something truly special.
Embracing New Strategies
Darcie shared how The Hive community energizes her business but acknowledged she needs more help. We talked about building a community within her business by hiring an admin VA for day-to-day operations.
I asked Darcie about the “movement and breath” of her business. She admitted it’s been intense with a client surge but sees potential in networking and hosting flexible events, like a half-day virtual retreat.
Darcie emphasized acceptance and understanding that trying new things is part of growing her business and that it’s okay if strategies don’t always work out. We must separate business potential from strategy outcomes. Overall, we emphasized the importance of community, flexibility, and acceptance in growing a business.
Building A Strong Business Foundation
Darcie identified specific results she wants to celebrate a year from today which are growing her mailing list to 2,500 subscribers and developing a community of paying clients.
She’s been thinking about lead generation and nurturing but finds it tricky. Though her work is established, her business is still young.
In The Hive, there’s a big-picture plan:
- Spend the first 90 days honing your dream client power statement, pricing, and offers.
- Use Client Surge to test and get confident in your message, pricing, and selling skills.
Once your foundation is solid, move into broadening your reach with content marketing strategies that don’t rely solely on referrals. Create consistent content rooted in your unique stance and catchy phrases, helping your dream clients align with your message.
Here’s the plan: Send emails to your growing subscriber list and post on social media 3 to 5 times a week. Track your progress to see which messages get the most attention. Aim to get 2 to 3 new subscribers every day.
Consistency is key. As you nurture your audience, misaligned people will naturally fade away. When you have 100 subscribers, send out a few invitation emails for sales calls. You’ll get new clients from your list, not out of nowhere.
As your list grows to 500, people will start asking for more. Your private clients will refer you, making it look like luck, but it’s actually strategic. With 1,200 people on your list and a full client roster, Darcie will now be ready to scale to a group program.
Forget complicated strategy meetings. Focus on consistency. Show up, post, and trust your business. Self-trust is crucial. Trust yourself and trust your business. Keep going!
Once you’re consistent, you will see what’s working and what needs tweaking. This helps you build a six-figure business and watch your clients transform.
After working on lead generation and nurturing systems, mindset work is crucial. But it’s not about meditating in the desert – it’s about integrating mindset into everyday tasks.
By seeing mundane tasks as acts of love, like filling out the Surge card, the mindset shifts, making work feel more meaningful. Visualization plays a big part too. Picture celebrating with 2500 subscribers and a full client roster – it makes the future feel real and achievable.
Mindset and consistent action go hand in hand, making business growth more automatic and fulfilling.
Essential Traits For A New Hire
We talked about how to balance ambition and alignment when hiring. This isn’t just about checking off tasks but about finding someone who naturally values community. They should be curious, detail-oriented, and a great team player.
They must embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion. We need someone brimming with ideas who can brainstorm and implement strategies. I’ve termed this “creative intelligence” – getting the audience and business goals and tweaking strategies to fit.
For us, qualities trump tasks because everything can be learned except valuing community. Finally, we discussed the idea of hiring a “next-level specialist.” Their role would be to lead quarterly initiatives from start to finish, ensuring the business grows in alignment with its values.
Create Your Path To Success
In summary, we started by getting clear on why you do your work and how that applies to your business. This led to identifying the needs of your business and devising steps to meet those needs.
We then imagined what success would look like a year from now and discussed strategies to achieve it, focusing on nurturing clients and converting leads.
Next, we looked at creating a community by adding a team member. It’s not just about tasks, but about finding someone who values community and has creative intelligence.
