The last couple of weeks we’ve been talking about delegating. And so far, our focus has been on delegating to other people. But don’t forget that there are countless tools, apps, programs and websites that can help you carry the workload.
So, here’s a true story.
I used to have an assistant who was responsible for two tasks. The first was sales, which truthfully she just wasn’t good at. That left us with her second task: scheduling. When a potential client wanted to hire me, my assistant would email them with a few dates that I was available, and they’d go back and forth until they nailed down a time to meet. If a current client had to reschedule, the email dance would begin again.
My assistant worked about 20 hours each week just managing my calendar.
And then, I discovered Acuity, and I had to let her go! Yup. A robot took her job. And truth be told, we were both happy and relieved about it. Scheduling was not in her zone of genius.
Acuity saved me 25 hours of work a week, $2,200 a month, and eliminated the confusing game of email tennis. Amen and hallelujah!
It’s also so darn easy.
Acuity is embedded on any website. It’s simple. An interested prospect clicks my open calendar dates and schedules themselves.
I know, right?!?
Another awesome benefit to using a resource like Acuity is that it offers a filter! I can’t tell you how many prospects weren’t serious about working with me when booking a complimentary call through my assistant. They’d either never follow through about scheduling a meeting, or they wouldn’t convert to clients because they were just hoping for some free strategy. My conversion rate was at a low 30%.
With Acuity, my conversion rate is so much higher… In fact, last month, it was 100%.
Why? Because as soon as potential clients who are NOT serious actually have to schedule time on my calendar, they get gun shy. Those who take the time to schedule are serious. If they weren’t, they wouldn’t bother to take the extra steps.
So, this has been a public service announcement from me to you. 😉
And no, I’m not a rep for Acuity. No, I do not get some sort of an affiliate fee. (Although a box of chocolates would be nice, Acuity if you’re reading this.) I’m just a super fan and hope it saves you as much time as it saves me.
P.S. In case you’re worried about my assistant, have no fear. She took some time off to explore the world then easily found another job that allows her to live in her zone of genius every day.
